European Standards of Education in the Quality Management System of Universities and Institutions of Lifelong Education

Symposium is held under the auspices of Mgr. Gabriela Sláviková, director of Dubnica Technological Institute in Dubnica nad Váhom

Objectives of the 11^th international scientific symposium:

Exchange of ideas, theoretical knowledge and practical experience in the field of quality management system of universities and higher education institutions.
Presentation of research results and theoretical knowledge in the field of quality management system of institutions of lifelong education.
Presentation of research results in the field of management of quality of education.
Establish and develop relationships with domestic and foreign universities, research institutions, practising experts and organizations.

The main topics of the symposium
Reviewed papers will be assigned according to specific thematic focus:
1. Quality management system of universities,
2. Quality management system of institutions of lifelong education,
3. Management of quality of university education.

The published output of the symposium: reviewed scientific monograph in English or German

Instruction for the speakers
Plenary lectures: time limit – max. 20 minutes.
Lectures: time limit – max. 10 minutes.

Conference languages: English, German, Slovak

Registration guidelines

Deadline for submission of the registration form: 30^th April 2012 (deadline postponed!), including a brief three line annotation in Slovak, English or German. The registration form should be e-mailed to: sympozium2012@dti.sk.
Deadline for submission of abstracts (max. 15 lines) and 10 key words in English or German is 30^th April 2012.
Deadline for e-mailing the power-point presentation is 15^th June 2012. The ppt presentation should be e-mailed to: sympozium2012@dti.sk.
Deadline for article submission in English or German is 15^th June 2012.
Deadline for payment of a registration fee is 30^th April 2012 (see the payment instructions).

All papers must be processed according to the given template (see Symposium Submission Guidelines)!
The organizer asks contributors to respect the thematic focus of the symposium, and reserves the right to reject submissions that do not meet the thematic and editorial standards.

The conference fee includes the registration fee, organizational costs, meals and refreshments during the conference and publishing of the scientific monograph. The conference fee does not include accommodation costs. Information about accommodation possibilities and some tips will be published on the symposium web site (www.dti.sk/sympozium2012).

Payment instructions

Each payment must include the variable symbol and the name of the person for whom the fee is reimbursed. Otherwise it will not be identified and the fee payment will be considered outstanding!

Discounts for full-time PhD. students

50 % discount off the registration fee A – B – C
€ 20 for the article published in the monograph, including 1 piece of printed monograph

Discount will be granted only to PhD. students who submit a certificate of full-time PhD. study.
Students of higher education institutions and universities can attend the plenary and the subsequent lectures for free.
